Resort Rules
SECURITY:
Please call 850-866-2101 for on-site security needs. Video surveillance in use on Resort premises to assist in overall management. While cameras may act as a deterrent to criminal activity, the Resort does not make any representation as to the coverage provided or guarantee the security of owners and guests or their personal property.
RENTAL AGE:
The Renter of a condo must be 25 years or older and must occupy the unit rented in their name throughout the stay. FAILURE to do so are grounds for immediate EVICTION. Minors are not allowed to consume alcohol anywhere on property.
LUGGAGE CARTS:
Luggage Carts are provided for use for transport of personal belongings. Luggage Carts are not permitted inside units and must be returned promptly.
ELEVATORS:
Overcrowding or jumping in elevators will cause the safety mechanisms to shut down the elevator. Passengers will be stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes or longer until emergency personnel arrive. Jumping is considered vandalism and violators will be charged for the expense of an emergency visit.
FIRE EXIT:
Walkways, stairwells, and landing areas are for access to and from units and shall not be obstructed. This prohibition follows fire code and insurance requirements and is for the protection of the residents in case of fire. DO NOT LEAVE COOLERS, TRASH, UMBRELLAS, BEACH CHAIRS OR ANY OTHER ARTICLES IN THE WALKWAYS. THEY WILL be removed and disposed of.
OCCUPANCY:
Occupancy is strictly limited to the number of persons designated per fire code. All Rental Parties must be Registered to stay on the premises and may not exceed the posted occupancy limit for the unit.
FITNESS ROOMS:
Calypso Resort & Towers (Towers 1&2) and the Tower 3 at Calypso resort, have separate fitness amenities. Guests must wear, and expect to be asked to show, the required, Resort specific wristband for their designated fitness room while using that amenity. Fitness room hours are from 5:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. The fitness center is for adults aged 18 and over. Children aged 12 and under are not allowed in the fitness area. Those aged 13 – 17 may enter the facility, but only if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please follow all posted rules in the fitness room for your safety. The Resort retains the right to temporarily revoke fitness room privileges to anyone that does not follow or obey the posted rules.
SMOKING:
For the enjoyment, health and safety of all, Calypso is a smoke-free facility. Smoking/vaping is not permitted in any common, public area where smoke can affect others to include the pool areas, Tiki Bar area, corridors, elevators, and balconies. This ban includes the smoking of marijuana or cannabis vape products. Throwing any item including cigarette butts from balcony is considered dangerous and IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE EVICTION!
GRILLS:
Grills of any kind, or any form of cooking or heating is NOT allowed on the unit balcony, common areas of the property or beach.
BALCONIES:
DO NOT climb or lean over the balcony. DO NOT drape towels, clothing, etc., on balcony railings. THROWING OBJECTS FROM THE BALCONY IS A FELONY AND IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE EVICTION!!
NOISE LEVEL:
Guests must maintain noise level to avoid annoyance to others. Radios with earphones are required in all public areas, including the pool deck and fitness center. No loud music or yelling from balconies or in the walkways at any time. “Quiet Hours” are enforced throughout the Resort between 10:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M.
SEAGULLS:
Feeding seagulls is prohibited on Resort property.
SKATEBOARDS:
Skateboards, hover boards, roller blades/skates are not allowed on property. Renters will be held responsible for their guests.
TRASH:
All guests are required to dispose of trash in the receptacles provided. Trash chutes are located on each floor. DO NOT put large boxes in the trash chute. A recycling bin for cardboard boxes is located behind the garage. DO NOT leave trash sitting in the walkways.
WRISTBANDS:
Any guest 13-years of age or older must wear an ID Band when using any of the Resort’s amenities. All guests 12-years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult, and there must be a separate ID band for the child.
LOSS OR THEFT:
Calypso Resort & Towers assumes no responsibility for any loss or theft of personal property anywhere on premises.
PETS:
Guests are NOT allowed to have pets.
DAMAGE:
GUESTS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES to common property caused by you or any member of your rental party.
RESPECTING OTHERS:
Guests must show respect towards fellow guests and Resort Staff. Mistreatment and or any abusive language or actions against staff or any other guest can result in eviction and removal from the property.

POOL AND FIRE PIT AREA AMENITY RULES
WRISTBANDS:
Calypso Resort & Towers (Towers 1&2) and the Tower 3 at Calypso resort, have separate swimming pool amenities. Guests must wear, and can expect to be asked to show, the required Resort specific wristband for the swimming area designated for the Resort/unit they have rented in.NO LIFEGUARD SWIM AT OWN RISK:
DIVING and is strictly prohibited. The main rules for the pool are posted around the pool area and are to be observed at all times.FIRE PITS:
Guests must use caution around the fire pit areas and are responsible for children in their care. Guests use the fire pit areas at their own risk. NO ITEMS OF ANY KIND may be added or burned in the fire pits. No food cooking in or over the fire pits is allowed.NO RESERVING POOL CHAIRS:
Towels do not reserve chairs, PEOPLE DO! Do not take chairs off the pool deck. If personal items are left unattended on the pool deck or on the chairs for longer than 15 minutes, they will be removed by Resort staff and placed in “lost and found”.POOL HOURS:
Pool hours are from 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM CST. No one is permitted in the pool area anytime the pool is closed.POOL CLOSURE:
The Resort reserves the right to close the pool for any reason deemed necessary including but not limited to repairs, inclement weather, or other conditions hazardous to swimmers.FLOTATION DEVICES:
Life preservers when worn for safety, are permitted in the pool. Other flotation devices are only allowed at the Resort’s discretion.PROHIBITED POOL CONDUCT:
Conduct such as screaming, boisterous activity, unnecessary splashing and/or throwing of a ball or other objects in the pool or pool area is not permitted. No running, pushing, wrestling, jumping or rough play is permitted in and about the pool. No pets of any kind are allowed in the pool area.PROPER ATTIRE/SWIM DIAPERS:
Proper (family oriented) swimming attire is required at all times. Children in diapers must wear approved “swimming diapers” while in the pool or on the pool deck.PARENT SUPERVISION:
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians must remain with the child at all times while using the pool area and are responsible for the child’s safety and actions.NO SMOKING/NO GLASS:
Calypso is a smoke free facility. There is zero tolerance for smoking, which includes vaping or the use of any cannabis product, in or around the pool and fire pit area. Glass containers are strictly prohibited on the pool deck which includes the fire pit area.REVOCATION OF POOL AREA PRIVILAGE:
The Resort retains the right to temporarily revoke pool and fire pit area privileges to anyone that does not follow or obey the amenity area rules. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the pool area.CALYPSO BEACH CHAIR & TENT POLICY
Effective: 8/1/2025
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to preserve the safety, beauty, and enjoyment of the Calypso Resort beachfront for all guests and owners. It ensures compliance with local regulations, supports organized Beach Chair Services, and upholds Bay County’s Leave No Trace ordinance.
Definition of Terms
- Beach Chair Services: A professional vendor contracted to provide beach chairs and umbrellas daily for use by registered Calypso guests and owners.
- Umbrella: A single-pole shade structure inserted into the sand with no additional supports, frames, tie-downs, or multiple ground contact points.
- Tent Structure: Any item with multiple support legs, frames, ropes, anchors, or extended fabric, including but not limited to:
- Pop-up tents
- Canopies
- Sunshades
- Temporary enclosures
- MHWL (Mean High Water Line): The average daily high tide mark used as a baseline for legal beach access and structure placement.
Policy
1. Beach Chair Setup
- Beach Chairs and Umbrellas provided by Beach Chair Services are set up daily, beginning 30 feet from the MHWL, in compliance with local ordinances.
2. Personal Chairs and Umbrellas
- Guests and owners may bring and use personal chairs and umbrellas.
- Personal umbrellas must meet the definition above (single-pole, no frames or supports).
- Umbrellas must be securely anchored at all times to prevent uplift or injury caused by wind.
- The owner of any personal umbrella is solely responsible for its safe use. If an umbrella becomes dislodged and causes injury or damage, the individual who brought and set up the umbrella assumes all liability.
- Personal chairs and umbrellas must not overlap with Beach Chair Services setup or designated emergency access routes.
3. Tent and Structure Placement Restrictions
- Tents, canopies, and other multi-support structures may not be placed in front of the Beach Chair Services setup.
- These items may be used only in designated areas to the side of or behind the chair service line.
- Signage will be posted at the beach access points to remind guests of proper tent placement and beach rules.
4. Prohibited Items
- No other permanent or temporary structures, enclosures, or buildings are allowed on the beach at any time.
5. Leave No Trace Compliance (Bay County Ordinance No. 1242)
- No tents, chairs, umbrellas, or personal items may be left on the beach overnight.
- Any belongings left unattended between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM will be considered abandoned and subject to removal.
6. Guest and Owner Compliance
- All visitors, registered guests, and owners must comply with this policy.
- All registered guests will acknowledge and agree to these rules during the registration process.
- Violations may result in fines to the owners and/or eviction of guests from the property.
QUESTIONS:
For any questions regarding parking or your stay, please reach out to the rental management company, host, or unit owner through whom you booked. This includes all additional parking pass requests, which must also be submitted through your rental agency. Please note, requests made directly by guests will not be processed.
